Sareh Bayat's journey began in Tehran, Iran, where she was born and raised. Her academic pursuits led her to major in Theater at a prestigious university, where she received a notable distinction - the Diploma of Honor for Best Actress - at the Tehran's Police Theatre Festival in 2006. This accolade marked the beginning of her illustrious acting career.
Seeking to hone her craft, Bayat continued her training at the Karnameh Institute of Arts and Culture's School of Cinematic Arts, where she had the privilege of learning from renowned actor Parviz Parastui in 2005. This tutelage under a master of the craft undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping her future performances.
Bayat's small screen debut came with the television series "A Fistful of Eagle Feathers", alongside her mentor Parviz Parastui and other celebrated actors such as Reza Kianian and Hormoz Hedayat. Her breakthrough on the big screen arrived with the film "Devil's Take" (Moghalede Sheytan),directed by Parvaneh Afshin Sadeghi.
However, it was her role as Razieh, the religious caretaker, in Asghar Farhadi's critically acclaimed film "A Separation" (2011),that truly catapulted her to international recognition. Her outstanding performance earned her the Diploma of Honor for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, solidifying her position as a talented and accomplished actress in the global cinematic landscape.
