Sean Scott McCracken, a multifaceted individual, has made a name for himself through his captivating performances as the suave and confident "Tailor" in the Mens Wearhouse campaigns from 2017 to 2021, effortlessly delivering the iconic line, "you're going to like the way you look." Unlike his predecessor, McCracken doesn't guarantee the outcome, instead, he empowers the client to take ownership of their look.
As an actor, McCracken has demonstrated his range by playing complex characters, from the tough and rugged to the compassionate and paternal. His creative upbringing and love of life on the road have been significant inspirations for his work.
Born in Sacramento, California, McCracken is the youngest of six children to Kinne Marie Holland, a former Miss Idaho, and William Russell McCracken, a retired DEA agent turned entrepreneur. His childhood was marked by a unique experience, as he and his family managed California's largest Llama farm in the 1980s.
McCracken's family has a rich history, with his grandfather, William James McCracken, being the first pilot to fly mail out to sea and the first and only to moor a blimp to the Empire State Building in 1931. His maternal grandfather, Yale Bertie Holland, worked at a sugar beet factory in Nampa, Idaho, before becoming a real estate developer in the Treasure Valley. Both grandmothers, Margaret Elaine McCracken and Ruth Holland, played a crucial role in supporting the family structure.
In addition to his acting career, McCracken is a real estate agent in Idaho, a certified EMT, PADI Master Scuba diver, and a regular Universal Type O- blood donor at the Red Cross. He splits his time between Los Angeles, New York, and the Intermountain West.
