Ross Alan Jirgl, a multifaceted individual with a rich family background, was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Susan Kolden, a seasoned business executive, and Alan Jirgl, a skilled automotive parts salesman. He is the younger sibling of Ryan Jirgl, a renowned American Football coach, and is proud of his Norwegian, Finnish, and Czech heritage.
Before venturing into the world of acting, Ross spent a significant portion of his early professional years immersed in college athletics. This experience was made possible by his own competitive football career in the NCAA for Minnesota State. His passion for the art of acting was ignited when he audited a class while working for Stanford University, sparking a lifelong interest in the craft.
Ross's television debut on Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist in San Francisco, CA, marked the beginning of his journey as an actor. This experience prompted him to relocate to New York City, where he pursued more extensive formal training. He enrolled in the conservatory at The William Esper Studio, further honing his skills under the guidance of esteemed acting coach Anthony Abeson.
