Rose McIver, a talented actress, was born in New Zealand to a creative family. Her parents, Ann "Annie" Coney, an artist, and John George Whitfield "Mac" McIver, a professional photographer, instilled in her a passion for the arts. She has an older brother, Paul McIver, a musician, who also pursued a career in the entertainment industry.
Rose began her acting career at a tender age, appearing in commercials when she was just two years old. Her film debut came in 1993 with a role as an angel in The Piano, followed by numerous roles in fantasy television series. Rose's film career also flourished, with a supporting role in the supernatural drama The Lovely Bones. She played Lindsey Salmon, the younger sister of main character Susie Salmon, who helps investigate her sister's murder.
In television, Rose had a main-cast role in the comedy series Super City and a recurring role in the period series Masters of Sex. She joined the cast of the fantasy series Once Upon a Time in 2013, playing the iconic character Tinker Bell.
Rose's most notable role to date is that of Olivia "Liv" Moore in the comedy-drama series iZombie. Olivia is a coroner's assistant who struggles to control her transformation into a zombie.
