Rose McIver, a talented actress, was born in New Zealand to a creative family. Her parents, Ann "Annie" Coney, an artist, and John George Whitfield "Mac" McIver, a professional photographer, instilled in her a passion for the arts. She has an older brother, Paul McIver, a musician, who also pursued a career in the entertainment industry.
Rose began her acting career at a tender age, appearing in commercials when she was just two years old. Her film debut came in 1993 with a role as an angel in The Piano, followed by numerous roles in fantasy television series. In television, Rose had a main-cast role in the comedy series Super City and a recurring role in the period series Masters of Sex. She joined the cast of the fantasy series Once Upon a Time in 2013, playing the iconic character Tinker Bell.
Rose's most notable role to date is that of Olivia "Liv" Moore in the comedy-drama series iZombie. Olivia is a coroner's assistant who struggles to control her transformation into a zombie.
