Biography

Rose Byrne's life journey began in Balmain, Sydney, Australia, where she was born to Jane, a dedicated primary school administrator, and Robin Byrne, a semi-retired statistician and market researcher. At the tender age of 15, she made her debut in the movie Dallas Doll (1994),marking the beginning of her illustrious acting career.

As she continued to grow, Rose appeared in various Australian television shows, including Heartbreak High (1994),Echo Point (1995),and the film Two Hands (1999) alongside the talented Heath Ledger. Her filmography expanded to include The Date (1999),My Mother Frank (2000),and Clara Law's The Goddess of 1967 (2000),for which she received the prestigious Female Volpi Cup at the Venice Festival in 2000.

Rose's breakthrough role came when she played handmaiden Dormé to Natalie Portman's Padmé Amidala in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002). In 2003, she starred as Rose Mortmain in the adaptation of Dodie Smith's I Capture the Castle (2003). The following year, she acted alongside Diane Kruger and Josh Hartnett in Wicker Park (2004).

It was in 2004 that Rose's career reached new heights when she landed the role of Briseis in Wolfgang Petersen's epic film Troy (2004) alongside Brad Pitt. Her performance earned her recognition as one of the most promising actresses in Hollywood. After Troy, she played Edith in a TV adaptation of Casanova (2005). In September 2005, she began filming for Danny Boyle's Sunshine (2007),where she portrayed the pilot in a space mission.
