Native New Yorker Rosa hails from Corona, Queens, where she was raised in a large family of nine siblings. She is a proud alumnus of The Julia Richman Talent Unlimited High School, which provided her with a solid foundation in the performing arts. Following her high school graduation, Rosa pursued her passion for dance at Skidmore College, where she earned a degree in dance as a major.
Rosa's academic achievements did not go unnoticed, as she was subsequently awarded a scholarship to the renowned Alvin Ailey School. This prestigious institution allowed her to hone her craft and refine her skills as a dancer. However, Rosa's creative pursuits did not stop there. She eventually transitioned into acting, and her hard work and dedication paid off as she established herself as a respected and accomplished actress in the film, television, and theater industries. Alongside her childhood friend Lorna Ventura, Rosa co-founded Stepsister Productions, a production company dedicated to empowering women to take on creative roles behind the camera.
As a producer and writer, Rosa has been involved in numerous projects, and she continues to develop new and innovative works with Lorna.
