Biography

Robert Glenister is a renowned British actor, whose impressive career spanning nearly three decades has earned him widespread recognition and acclaim. Among his numerous notable roles, he is perhaps most famously known for his portrayal of con man Ash "Three Socks" Morgan in the hit British television series Hustle, which premiered in 2004, as well as his appearances in the popular spy thriller series MI-5, which debuted in 2002.

Born into a family of artists, Glenister is the son of director John Glenister and the brother of actor Philip Glenister, who gained fame for his role as DCI Gene Hunt in the critically acclaimed series Life on Mars, which aired from 2006 to 2007. Glenister's personal life is also marked by his relationships with actresses, having been married to Amanda Redman, with whom he shares a daughter, Emily Glenister, born in 1987. He is currently married to Celia Glenister, with whom he has a son, Thomas Glenister, born in 1996. His sister-in-law, Beth Goddard, is also an actress.

Glenister's early career saw him appear regularly in the BBC sitcom Sink or Swim from 1980 to 1982, showcasing his versatility as a comedic actor.
