Rob Goodman's journey began in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he grew up and graduated from Edinboro University with a of Arts Bachelor degree in Applied Media Arts, specializing in conventional and computer animation. This foundation laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. One of his earliest notable projects was an animated video for children, titled 'Animation Vacation', which garnered recognition and set the stage for his transition into the television, feature film, and commercial production industry.
After relocating to South Florida, Goodman's talents expanded to include directing, producing, casting, grip, electric, and on-screen talent. His impressive resume boasts an extensive list of over 200 commercials for prominent companies such as Industrial Light and Magic, AT&T, Credit Suisse, Pepsi, and USA Broadcasting.
In 1998, Goodman co-founded Goodman Brown Productions with Tom Brown, and their first feature film, 531 (2001),was a testament to his ambitious vision. The film's unique aspect was the challenge of shooting mostly at night, inside a moving car, requiring a high level of commitment and tenacity from Goodman and his team.
Since then, Goodman has directed two projects for non-profit organizations, focusing on issues affecting children with disabilities. Additionally, he has explored his artistic side through painting and graphic design. His artwork has been exhibited in Erie, Pennsylvania, and South Florida, showcasing his unique style and creativity.
Rob Goodman currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he and Tom Brown are developing their next feature film, 'Brother'.
