Richard is currently residing in Florida, where he is pursuing a career as an actor, represented by Newton Agency and managed by Jon Tomus Talent. In addition to his acting work, he coaches actors and business professionals to deliver authentic performances for film and television. His extensive teaching experience includes serving on the faculty at Michigan Actors Studio and Madonna University, where he taught courses on acting for film, appreciation of cinema, and performance for television and radio. He is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and has appeared in various principal and supporting roles in feature films, commercials, stage productions, corporate events, and industrial productions.
Richard has also ventured into screenwriting, co-writing two screenplays and co-producing two feature films. He has produced the documentary "Abound in Hope- Detroit Hope in Action" and has been appointed as an alternate member to three national committees for the Screen Actors Guild. He is a founding member of the Creative Film Alliance, a collective of film departments from Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and Wayne State University.
As a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild Book Pal program, Richard has also served on the Media Arts Curriculum Investigative team for the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards. He holds a Master of Science degree from Michigan State University and previously served as the President of Michigan Film Group LLC, producing media for non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
Before entering the film industry, Richard had a 26-year career in law enforcement, serving as an Investigator, agent, and Chief Criminal Investigator for the State of Michigan Racing Commissioner. During his tenure, he authored numerous policies and procedures, led and coordinated major investigations with federal and state law enforcement agencies, and served as an agent for federal grand juries. He is recognized as an "Expert Witness" by the Michigan courts and has received several commendations for his service.
Richard has also taught criminal justice courses as an adjunct faculty member at Michigan State University School for Criminal Justice and served as the faculty representative for the "Constitutional Democracy" exchange program in Ukraine. For his work, he was awarded the Ukrainian Order of Excellence, making him only the third American to receive this honor. Throughout his career, Richard has been driven by a passion for helping people achieve their dreams, whether it's in the entertainment industry or beyond.
