Biography

Rhes Low, a multifaceted individual with a rich background in the entertainment industry and beyond, hails from Laurel, Mississippi, where he developed a passion for theatre at a young age.

He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre from Southern Methodist University, after which he relocated to Los Angeles, California, and spent six formative years honing his craft in theatre, film, and television.

Rhes's impressive repertoire includes a nomination for Best Actor at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2000 for his captivating performance in Jim Inman's acclaimed play "A Weekend Night at Only's," which had won an Emmy Award.

In 2001, he took home the Best Actor award at the IHP Film Fest, held at the esteemed Directors Guild of America, and was subsequently nominated for the same award in 2002.

However, Rhes's journey took an unexpected turn in 2006 when he temporarily stepped away from acting and returned to his hometown of Oxford, Mississippi, to open Market Rhes, the city's first gourmet grocery.

During this period, he acquired valuable experience in corporate sales, which ultimately led to his discovery of a new passion: teaching acting to children.

In 2008, Rhes founded the Oxford Acting Studio, initially with a modest group of six students, and has since grown the studio to accommodate a diverse student body of over 60 individuals, ranging in age from 4 to 60.

To better serve his students, Rhes decided to re-enter the acting world, and he now makes a living working throughout the southeastern United States.

Rhes currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi, with his loving wife and children, and continues to inspire and nurture the creative talents of his students at the Oxford Acting Studio.
