Biography

Rene Costa's Early Life and Career Path

Born on September 19th in Nicosia, Cyprus, Rene Costa was raised by both Greek Cypriot parents. From a very young age, Rene has been fascinated with theatre and film, which was further nurtured when he landed his first role in a school project, playing George in the production of "George and the Dragon". This early experience sparked a passion within Rene, which was reignited when he took on the role of Macbeth in a school production.

As Rene grew older, he began to balance his passion for the performing arts with his responsibilities as a young parent. He took a 3-year course in Script Writing and Performing Arts at Willesden Collage, earning his Equity card. Although he had to put his dreams on hold due to family commitments, Rene's passion for the industry never wavered.

Rene's big break came when he landed a role on the set of "The Mummy Returns", followed by work on "102 Dalmatians" and "Last Chance Harvey" alongside Dustin Hoffman. Rene cherished the opportunity to work with Hoffman, even getting to share a scene with the renowned actor.

After honing his skills through various workshops, Rene began to land more serious roles. He is humbled by his journey and is excited for what the future holds. Rene has written four to five projects to date, with two of them already filmed.

His most recent projects include "The Crappers", a heartwarming story about a family struggling to make ends meet, and "Memoirs of a Dying Man", a gripping tale about an old-time gangster's regrets on his deathbed. Rene is always eager to take on new opportunities and is grateful for the path his life has taken.
