Rebecca Gibney is a renowned and beloved Australian actress, born in Levin, New Zealand, as the youngest of six children. Before moving to Australia at the age of 19, she appeared in several New Zealand television series, including Inside Straight, Pioneer Women, and Sea Urchins.
Her breakthrough in Australia came when she played the role of Julie Davis in the Nine Network series Zoo Family, followed by her stint in the popular Nine Network drama series Flying Doctors. In 2012, she starred in P.J. Hogan's feature film Mental, opposite Toni Collette and Anthony LaPaglia, earning her nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the AACTA Awards and Australian Film Critics Association Awards.

Rebecca's performance as Julie Rafter in Packed To The Rafters, spanning six seasons, earned her a Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality, two Silver Logies for Most Popular Actress, and seven Logie Award nominations, as well as an AFI Award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Television Drama.
She co-created, produced, and starred in three seasons of the popular Seven Network drama Wanted, which received eight nominations at the NZ TV Awards, including Best Drama Series and Best Actress, and was also nominated for a 2017 International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series.
