Ray Prewitt was born on March 12, 1970, in College Station, Texas. He is a talented actor, producer, and aircraft broker, having founded Prewitt Aircraft Sales. Ray is a proud alumnus of Texas A&M University, where he interned in the genetics lab at the veterinary school's exotic animal clinic and served as a crew chief for the iconic Aggie Bonfire. He is rarely seen without his Aggie Ring, a testament to his strong connection to his alma mater.
Ray's passion for acting began at a young age, starring alongside Amy Ecklund in their elementary school production of "Huck Finn" in Austin, Texas. He continued to hone his craft, performing with various improv troupes around Austin before landing his first small role alongside Natalie Portman in "Where the Heart Is". Despite his early success, Ray recognized his limitations and began producing one-person shows for his more gifted friends, eventually producing his own show, "The World Owes Me a Party Favor".
Ray's career has taken him to Los Angeles, where he has appeared in national commercials, independent films, and collaborated with other comedian ex-patriots from Texas. He is currently filming the Jim Sheridan-helmed "Brothers", playing the role of Owen, a beer-guzzling and often underwear-clad character. Ray's biggest role to date, he was cast in the film after sending in a self-made tape without meeting the director or producers before production began. He received support from the film's casting director and mentor, Jo Edna Boldin.
In his free time, Ray resides in Oklahoma City, where he collaborates with longtime friends Derek Doublin and Matt Brown on absurdist shorts, including the acclaimed "The News". He also has an improvised scene on the DVD of Universal Pictures' "Friday Night Lights". Ray enjoys bar-b-que, state fairs, and winning hot sauce festivals.
