Biography

Ray Barrett's journey in the entertainment industry began with a strong foundation in music and elocution, laying the groundwork for his subsequent foray into acting at the tender age of eleven.

This prodigious young talent was subsequently snapped up by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Drama section, becoming the first actor to be put under contract by the esteemed organization.

After honing his craft for several years on the radio in Sydney, Barrett made the bold decision to take his talents across the pond to Britain, where he enjoyed a successful run between 1958 and the mid-1970s.

Following this stint, Barrett returned to his homeland of Australia, where he continued to make a name for himself in the industry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Barrett has been recognized with an impressive two AFI (Australian Film Industry) awards, a testament to his enduring talent and dedication to his craft.
