Randal Arturo Gonzalez, affectionately known as Randy, was born on May 27th in Jefferson, Louisiana, a picturesque suburb of New Orleans. His arrival marked the beginning of a life that would be shaped by the vibrant cultural heritage of his parents, Ruben "Mr. Salsa" Gonzalez, a renowned Spanish singer, and Nancy H. Gonzalez (nee Houston),a dedicated hospital administrator. As the second of four siblings, Randy grew up in a tough neighborhood, surrounded by a diverse group of children who shared his passion for sports. His exceptional athletic abilities soon became apparent, as he excelled in baseball, football, wrestling, and track, earning accolades at the district, parish, and state levels from 1979 to 1984.
Despite his success in sports, Randy never harbored ambitions to become an actor. However, he felt that pursuing a career in acting could help him achieve certain personal goals. After much contemplation, he decided to take the leap of faith and dive headfirst into the world of acting. His decision was met with an unprecedented level of success, as he received his SAG card from his first film, a feat that is rarely seen in the industry. Throughout his career, Randy has appeared in a range of notable productions, including NCIS: New Orleans, Grudge Match, The Green Book, The Hot Flashes, and several high-profile national commercials. He has also had the opportunity to work on a few prestigious short films, such as "Classic Restoration," which was produced by Jarred Coates, who is also known for his work on "God's Not Dead."
Currently, Randy is involved in the pre-production phase of an action-packed thriller, which he has written and will star in, titled "The Hero." In addition to his on-screen role, he will also be producing the film, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry.
