Puneet Prasad, a Bay Area native, was born on March 30, the same day as the renowned artist Vincent Van Gogh. He proudly identifies as an "Indipino," a term he coined to describe his mixed heritage of being half-Filipino and half-Indian.
Puneet's early life was marked by a passion for the spotlight, with extensive involvement in both athletic and academic pursuits. He studied vocals at the California Catholic School and the NIVH in the mountains of India, although his musical style seems to be more cyberpunk than classical.
From a young age, Puneet has been drawn to the world of entertainment. He attended the University of California, where he studied math and sciences, took screenwriting and acting classes, and deejayed around Hollywood. He also hosted a radio show on K-Rock, participated in local theater, and trained in martial arts and wrestling on his university's team.
Puneet's impressive resume includes being a backup dancer for several artists and starring in the UCLA independent stage play "Redemption Street" opposite Jessika Van, who is known for her role in the MTV series "Awkward."
After college, Puneet moved to New York City, where he continued to pursue his passion for entertainment. He did off-Broadway productions, deejayed, and lived with international Hip Hop tour manager and director Farid "Fafa" Garrabos, who helped him produce a studio album with Majik Reed. Puneet also danced for "The Ride" in Times Square and was signed as a model and actor. He has since been spotted in national commercials, international print ads, and films.
In addition to his acting and filmmaking career, Puneet is also known for his work as an actor and filmmaker. He is the founder of Puneet!TV and has been involved in brain-derived neurofactor gene research in California.
