His next significant milestone was achieved in 2003, when he graduated to directing TV series, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and accomplished director.
In 2006, Lombaard formed a creative partnership with Cecil Matlou, and together they went on to direct a plethora of award-winning music videos and short films. This successful collaboration laid the groundwork for Lombaard's foray into producing, which ultimately led to the creation of the 2010 SAFTA-winning reality show, Our House.
