Biography

Phillip Fenty embarked on his illustrious career in the entertainment industry, initially making a name for himself as a writer and co-producer of the groundbreaking film, Superfly, a black street classic that has stood the test of time. He was an integral part of the gritty New York City independent film movement, a pioneering force that flourished from the early 1970s to the mid 1980s.

As a testament to his versatility and creative prowess, Fenty co-wrote and co-produced Shining Star, a collaborative effort with the renowned Harvey Keitel and the iconic music group Earth, Wind & Fire. Furthermore, he took the helm as director and co-writer of The Baron, a film that showcased the talents of esteemed actors Calvin Lockhart, Raymond St Jacques, and Joan Blondell.

Fenty's journey took him west to Los Angeles, where he honed his skills as a writer for The Robert Guillaume Show and developed TV projects for a diverse range of talents, including the legendary Red Foxx and the talented Herbie Hancock, under the auspices of 20th Century Fox.

After a six-month sojourn in East Africa, where he worked on developing a feature film project for Columbia Pictures, Fenty returned to LA and joined Dick Clark Productions as Vice President of Development & Marketing, further solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted and innovative industry professional.

Today, Phillip Fenty is actively developing content for Triple Crown Entertainment LLC, a testament to his enduring passion for storytelling and his commitment to creating engaging and memorable entertainment experiences.
