Biography

Philip Franks, the sole offspring of Robert Franks, a distinguished RAF pilot, and his mother, Patricia Franks, embarked on his educational journey in Hertfordshire, where he honed his academic skills before proceeding to the prestigious Oxford University.

Subsequent to spending many years with the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC),Philip had the privilege of performing in numerous stage productions, including a notable portrayal of "Hamlet" under the direction of Roger Michell.

His impressive theatre credentials served as a springboard for his foray into television, where he had the pleasure of collaborating with the talented Catherine Zeta-Jones in the 1991 production of "The Darling Buds of May".
