Peter Carpenter, a 6'3" hunk with a muscular build, hailed from Oakland, California, where he was raised in a Catholic family of Spanish and Italian descent. The Corbelli family, to which he belonged, resided in the East Bay area, and Peter was given the name Jude Thaddeus as his confirmation name, which would later inspire the name of his production company, Jude Productions.
Prior to his entry into the film industry, Peter was involved in a business that manufactured men's slacks. His big break came when Russ Meyer, a renowned filmmaker, spotted a photo of Peter with his girlfriend, who had auditioned for a role in Meyer's film Vixen! (1968). This led to Peter's first film role, playing a Mountie in the movie.
Peter's subsequent film credits include a lead role in the obscure exploitation melodrama Love Me Like I Do (1970). He then formed a partnership with producer Chris Marconi, with whom he co-produced, wrote the stories for, and starred in the drive-in double whammy of Blood Mania (1970) and Point of Terror (1971). Both films were picked up for theatrical release by Crown International Pictures, a legendary exploitation outfit.
Peter was planning to make another film called "Middle of Midnite" before his sudden and mysterious death in the early 1970s, the circumstances of which remain unresolved to this day.
