Biography

Notable actress, whose early professional endeavors took her to the esteemed repertory stage in Manchester, where she initially garnered experience and exposure through her television appearances. Throughout her career, she has developed a keen sense of script evaluation, often being able to determine the suitability of a script within the initial five pages. This discerning talent served her well when she stumbled upon the script for 'To the Manor Born', which initially was intended for a radio series. So impressed was she with the quality of the script that she deemed it one of the most outstanding she had ever read, prompting her to seek out the attention of John Howard Davis, the influential head of BBC television's light entertainment division.
