Paul Van Dyck was born in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that would eventually lead him to achieve great success in the world of theatre.
He went on to graduate with Honours from Queen's University's Specialized Studies in Stage and Screen program in the year 2000, further equipping him with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in his chosen field.
In the year 2001, Paul took the bold step of founding Rabbit in a Hat Productions in Montreal, Quebec, with a clear mandate to produce new Canadian plays that would showcase the talents of emerging playwrights and artists.
Throughout his career, Paul's work has been met with widespread critical acclaim, with numerous awards and accolades bestowed upon him for his productions. These prestigious awards include The Revelation Award, presented by the Montreal English Critics Circle, as well as Outstanding Direction and Best Production awards from the Montreal English Theatre Awards, New York Frigid Festival, Atlantic Fringe, and Montreal Fringe.
In addition to his impressive body of work, Paul has also had the opportunity to participate in several notable programs and initiatives, including the Neil Munro Intern Directors Project at the Shaw Festival and the National Forum Representative of Quebec for the Playwrights Guild of Canada.
