Paul Higgins, a native of Wishaw, Lanarkshire, was initially drawn to the idea of devoting his life to missionary work, and at the tender age of twelve, he began his training as a priest within the Xaverian brotherhood.
However, his trajectory took an unexpected turn approximately five years later, when he discovered the captivating presence of girls and, in a joint decision, abandoned his pursuit of the priesthood.
