Paul Gunn is a multifaceted and dynamic individual who has excelled in various roles throughout his career. He began performing at a young age, showcasing his talents as a singer, dancer, actor, model, stuntman, emcee, specialty/variety artist, and voice over artist.
Paul's early years were marked by extensive travel, having circumnavigated the globe by the age of 23. He used his performances to fund his education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
Although Paul has spent most of his career in the entertainment industry, he transitioned to screen acting with remarkable ease. His recent notable roles include playing the apathetic and foul-mouthed soldier/killing machine, Sgt. Lobo Katz, in Albert Pyun's Interstellar Civil War (2017). He is set to star in Pyun's upcoming film project, Napolean, as free-solo rock climbing phenom Brick Bardo.
Paul's acting versatility is exemplified by his portrayal of multiple characters in the surreal psychological-thriller, Bleach. His characters include an English farmer, a demon, and a demi-god, showcasing his range and depth as an actor.
Born in Thailand, Paul and his family immigrated to the United States, where he grew up in Dallas, Texas. He developed his passion for singing and dancing in his formative years, performing in school plays and musicals. He later honed his skills in live shows at Six Flags over Texas and Disneyland.
Paul's extensive performance experience includes working as a dancer/singer and assistant cruise director for Princess Cruise Lines. He eventually settled in Las Vegas, where he performed in various shows on the Vegas Strip, including Splash, Tournament of Kings, and The Chippendales.
As a result of his work with The Chippendales, Paul has been featured in calendars, posters, and DVDs, as well as radio and television interviews, internationally. He has since focused primarily on acting, garnering significant attention in the acting world.
Throughout his career, Paul's personal mission has been to change the way Asian men are viewed in Western popular culture and media. He is excited and grateful for the opportunity to portray the charismatic and confident Asian actor, David Chang, opposite Keisha Knight Pulliam in the television sitcom, 3 Year Plan.
