Patty Dunning, born on September 11, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, began her acting career with a role as Patty Myers in the 1972 film A Thief in the Night. She then appeared in an uncredited role in All the King's Horses (1977) before reprising her role as Patty Myers in the second installment of the "Thief in the Night" series, A Distant Thunder (1978).
Her character's journey continued in the third installment, Image of the Beast (1981),marking her last appearance in the series. Following the franchise, Dunning went on to appear in The Shepherd (1984) and Life Flight: The Movie (1987).
After largely falling out of the industry, Dunning resurfaced in 2019 and 2020 with roles in the short films Knee High (2019) and Domicile (2020). In a past interview, Dunning shared that initially, she wasn't fully on board with the movie's message, but she quickly aligned with its themes.
Currently, Patty Dunning resides quietly in Iowa, where she has found a new passion as a pediatric physical therapist. She is also married, having left the spotlight to focus on her personal life.
