Patrick Roy is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender and a prominent figure in the sport, having served as the head coach and vice-president of hockey operations for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL),as well as the general manager and head coach of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Nicknamed "Saint Patrick," Roy's impressive playing career spanned 19 seasons, with 11 years spent with the Montreal Canadiens and 8 years with the Avalanche. During this time, he won an unprecedented four Stanley Cups, two with each franchise, solidifying his reputation as one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history.
