Person Biography:
Studied under the legendary Sanford Meisner, who recognized her potential as a "true character actress" capable of holding her own with anyone. She also honed her craft under the guidance of Gene Bua, Silvana Gallardo, Sam Christensen, and Floyd King at the Folger Theatre.
Her international experience spans eight years, during which she became fluent in French and acquired a basic understanding of German. This linguistic proficiency was showcased in her senior year at Yorktown High School, where she won the "Best Actress" award for her portrayal of "Eliza" in My Fair Lady in 1970.
She went on to star in the original musical "Sun, Son" at the University of Kansas, earning a BMI Award in 1970. Her performance as "Chava" opposite Mandy Patinkin in Fiddler On The Roof at the University of Kansas in 1971 solidified her reputation as a talented young actress.
After graduating, she continued to make a name for herself in the theatre world. At George Washington University, she won the "Paul Parady Memorial Award" in 1981 for her outstanding contributions to the university theatre, as well as for her role as "Jenny" in Three Penny Opera.
She has shared the stage with notable actors, including William Christopher from MASH, playing the iconic role of "The Girl" in Seven Year Itch at the Hayloft Dinner Theatre in 1986. Her performance as "Tansy" in The Nerd at the American Heartland Theatre in 1986-87 further cemented her status as a talented actress.
Her one-woman show, "Passions et Tendresses," showcased her linguistic skills in French and English at the John F. Kennedy Center in 1986. She has also won first prize at the renowned Palomino in North Hollywood, California, for her rendition of "Stand By Your Man" in 1987.
As the original French chanteuse at the Moonlight Tango Cafe in Sherman Oaks, California, she brought her unique talents to the stage in 1988. She continues to perform and appear with Catahoula at various venues, including B B King's at Universal City Walk, Molly Malone's, Roxy, Whisky, and Troubadour.
In addition to her work with Catahoula, she has appeared in Artie (2002). Her upcoming role as "Lady Macbett" in Ionesco's Macbett at the Globe Theatre in West Hollywood, co-exec produced by Peter Dowling, marks an exciting new chapter in her illustrious career.
