Owain Sebastian Yeoman, a talented Welsh actor, was born to Michael and Hilary Yeoman. He has a sister, Ailsa, and was raised with a strong sense of family values.
After completing his honors degree in English from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Yeoman went on to graduate from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London. His exceptional performance earned him the distinction of being the Henry Marshall Shield Winner in 2003.
Yeoman's acting career began with an audition for the epic film Troy (2004),directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Brad Pitt. He was immediately cast as Lysander, the Captain of the Trojan army, in his first major role.
Prior to relocating to Los Angeles in 2004, Yeoman had a successful stage career in London's West End theaters, performing in over a dozen plays. He also participated in two Edinburgh international Stage/Film festivals.
Upon moving to Los Angeles, Yeoman was cast in various TV projects, including "The Friendlies," the lead role in Mark Burnett's Commando Nanny (2004),and the pilot of the Terminator franchise series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008),where he played the T-888 main terminator.
Yeoman's notable TV roles include leading series regular parts in the 2006 Fox comedy Kitchen Confidential (2005),opposite Bradley Cooper, and Sgt. Eric Kocher in the HBO award-winning biopic Generation Kill (2008).
However, he is probably best known for his leading role as CBI detective Wayne Rigsby in the CBS international hit series The Mentalist (2008),a role he has played for over 6 years. In 2012, Yeoman starred in the independent horror feature Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2 (2011) and the festival short film AbsolutSin (2012).
In 2014, Yeoman reunited with Bradley Cooper when he starred in American Sniper (2014),directed by Clint Eastwood. He is also an avid animal rights supporter and works closely with PETA and the Humane Society (USA). Yeoman lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Gigi, and their French bulldog, Cash.
