Nora Marris, a New York City-based filmmaker hailing from the vibrant city of Buffalo, has established herself as a master of crafting discomfort comedies that unapologetically delve into the complexities of human nature, particularly focusing on characters plagued by unfavorable personality traits.
Marris' unique approach to storytelling is deeply rooted in a collaborative, actor-driven writing and directing process that encourages improvisation throughout the rehearsal and filming process. This innovative method allows for a heightened level of authenticity and emotional depth in her work.
Prior to her current endeavors, Marris further honed her craft by earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Directing/Screenwriting from the esteemed Columbia University.
