Biography

Nicky Katt embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of seven, making his television debut on the iconic series CHiPs in 1977. This marked the beginning of a steady stream of appearances throughout the 1980s, with notable roles on Quincy, M.E. in 1976, Father Murphy in 1981, and V in 1984.

Unlike many child actors who became typecast in a single iconic role, Katt's early work consisted of guest spots or, in the case of Herbie, the Love Bug in 1982, a project that was unfortunately canceled early on. This allowed him to avoid the pitfalls that often beset child stars who struggle to find work as adults and see their lives unravel.

In a sense, Katt enjoyed two distinct careers. The first was that of a child actor during the late 1970s and early 1980s, while the second was that of a character actor in the 1990s, often taking on the roles of the bully or thug. Possessing a remarkable talent and an effortless ability to shine in front of the camera, whether on television or in feature films, Katt accumulated an impressive body of work for someone of his age.
