Nick and his identical twin brother Paul were born and raised in the vibrant city of Cleveland, Ohio, the sons of Italian immigrants who had brought with them a rich cultural heritage. Growing up, the brothers were instilled with a strong sense of discipline and work ethic, which would serve them well in their future endeavors.
Both Nick and Paul chose to serve their country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, where they honed their skills and developed a deep respect for one another. After completing their military service, Nick went on to pursue a variety of interests, including uranium mining, Golden Glove boxing, hairdressing, drafting, and aerospace engineering. He was a true Renaissance man, always eager to try his hand at something new and challenging.
In addition to his many pursuits, Nick also had a brief acting career, a testament to his versatility and charisma. However, it was his work in the aerospace industry that would ultimately define his professional legacy. Nick joined Rocketdyne Corporation as a draftsman, where he played a crucial role in the development of components for the Apollo missions. His exceptional skills and attention to detail earned him a promotion to engineer, and he soon found himself working on a range of high-stakes projects at Hughes Aircraft.
As an avid golfer and dog lover, Nick was a family man at heart. He was devoted to his many children and grandchildren, and spent much of his retirement enjoying quality time with them. Despite his many accomplishments, Nick remained humble and kind, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom.
Sadly, Nick's life was cut short when he passed away in 2018 at the age of 88, due to complications from leukemia. His legacy, however, lives on through the countless lives he touched and the many achievements he accomplished during his remarkable life.
