Neville Kiser was born in Greenville, South Carolina, a city known for its vibrant downtown area and rich cultural heritage, and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a city situated in the southwestern part of the state, famous for its rich history, cultural attractions, and natural beauty.
As the fourth of eight children, Neville was part of a loving and close-knit family, with a father who was a preacher and a mother who was a high school English teacher. This upbringing had a profound impact on his life and shaped his values and worldview.
Neville received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Taylor University, a small liberal arts college located in the heart of Indiana, known for its strong academic programs and commitment to community service. During his time at Taylor University, he spent a semester in Los Angeles, where he interned for the renowned director, producer, and writer, Garry Marshall, at Henderson Production.
Following his internship, Neville pursued a Master of Arts degree in Theology and the Arts at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, a prestigious institution that has produced many notable alumni. During his graduate studies, he spent two years living and teaching in rural China at a university in the Shandong province, an experience that broadened his perspectives and deepened his understanding of the world.
Upon his return to the United States, Neville received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Screenwriting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),under the guidance and mentorship of the acclaimed screenwriter, Dustin Lance Black. His feature script, "Man of Sorrow," which tells the tragic true story of the final years of Oscar Wilde's life, was selected for the annual Hollywood Black List in December 2013, a prestigious honor that recognizes the most outstanding unproduced screenplays in Hollywood.
Today, Neville is repped by Peter Dealbert of Pacific View Management and Keya Khayatian, Amanda Hymson, and Amanda Burnett of United Talent Agency (UTA),a testament to his talent, dedication, and hard work in the entertainment industry.
