Nelson Avidon is a talented actor who has made a name for himself in both television and film. In the CBS-TV series EAST NEW YORK, he played the recurring character Don Jankowicz alongside Jimmy Smits. His film credits include MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, directed by Edward Norton, where he played the role of Jacob Gleason, and RERUN, directed by Alyssa Bennett, where he is Christopher Lloyd's son.
On stage, Nelson has had a diverse range of roles. He has played Franklin Roosevelt in BETHUNE, Freddy in CHURCH OF ST. LUKE in the Fringe Festival, Dr. Fletcher in STRINGTOWN, a project for Anna Deavere Smith, and Henry in MUD, directed by Elena Araoz, for Boundless Theatre NYC. His performance as Henry in MUD was praised by The Review Hub, who noted that "Nelson Avidon's Henry is an insidious force."
Off-Broadway, Nelson has been seen playing Ronald Reagan in IN BED WITH ROY COHN, a role that earned him critical acclaim, with Theatre Scene praising his performance, saying "Nelson Avidon is mesmerizing as Ronald Reagan."
