Navia Robinson's passion for the performing arts began at the tender age of five, as she started playing pretend and finding solace in her own imagination. This early start marked the beginning of her acting career, which would soon take off in a big way.
At the age of six, Robinson landed her first major role as D'Asia, the niece of Mary Jane Paul (played by Gabrielle Union),in the hit BET Network drama "Being Mary Jane". This marked a significant milestone in her career, as her dreams began to take shape.
In 2016, Navia's career received a major boost when she was hand-picked by none other than Nicki Minaj to play the role of Tasha, Nicki's childhood best friend, in a pilot/ordered to series revolving around Nicki's life growing up in Queens, NY, titled "Nicki", which was shot for ABC's Freeform Network.
After this exciting opportunity, Robinson's passion took her to the United Kingdom, where she starred as Rosie in Netflix's Emmy Award-winning series "Free Rein". Upon her return to the United States, she appeared in The CW's critically acclaimed "Vampire Diaries" as Janie.
However, it is perhaps Navia Robinson that is most recognized for her role as Nia Baxter, the smart and socially conscious teenage daughter of Raven Baxter (played by Raven Symone),in Disney Channel's live-action comedy "Raven's Home", a spin-off of the iconic comedy series "That's So Raven".
In addition to her live-action roles, Robinson has also lent her voice to several beloved characters, including Zayla, the daughter of Invisibilio and Shocktress in Marvel's "Marvel Rising: Playing With Fire", and Valkyrie on Disney's animated series "Rocketeers".
