Kumaresan Duraisamy, better known by his stage name Nepoleon, is a multifaceted Indian personality who has made a mark in the world of cinema, politics, and entrepreneurship. He is the founder and chairman of Jeevan Technologies and Jeevan Foundation, a position he holds with great distinction.
As an actor, Nepoleon has acted in nearly 100 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, showcasing his versatility and range. His journey in the Tamil film industry began in 1991 with P. Bharathiraja's rural film Pudhu Nellu Pudhu Naathu, where he played the antagonist role.
Over the years, Nepoleon has appeared in numerous films, including Ejamaan, Seevalaperi Pandi, Devasuram, Ravanaprabhu, Vattaram, Hello brother, Pokkiri, and Dasavatharam. His role as Mundakkal Shekharan in the blockbuster action film Devasuram is widely regarded as his best performance to-date. He reprised this role in the sequel, Ravanaprabhu.
Nepoleon's talent was recognized with the Tamilnadu Government's Best Actor Special Award for the film "ETTUPATTI RASA" in the year 1997.
After taking a break from acting, Nepoleon made his comeback in 2016 with Kidaari and went on to portray Gautham Karthik's father in Muthuramalingam (2017),replacing Karthik. He has also landed a role in Hollywood, starring in the upcoming supernatural thriller Devil's Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge, directed by Sam Logan Khaleghi.
Among his forthcoming projects are Seema Raja, AY-NA, and Devil's Night: Dawn of the Nain Rouge, which are set to release in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hollywood. Despite being based in Nashville, USA, Nepoleon continues to be a prominent figure in the Indian film industry, with a career spanning over three decades.
