Biography

Nakia Dillard, a multi-talented individual, hails from the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child, his passion for the arts opened up a vast world of colors, animation, and imagination, showcasing his exceptional talent in this field. With a clear vision of a career in the arts, Nakia attended the prestigious Freedom Theater in Philadelphia, where he was introduced to the renowned acting coach Ricardo Martin.

Under Martin's guidance, Nakia joined the Rainbow Company, further honing his acting skills and progressing to perform at the esteemed Hedgerow and The Wilma Theaters. His journey took a significant turn when he collaborated with prominent industry figures, including the accomplished actor and director Bill Duke.

Nakia's television and film career gained momentum with his recurring role in the critically acclaimed TV series "The Wire". He then went on to work alongside notable performers such as Gerard Butler, Jamie Foxx, Anthony Mackie, Wendell Pierce, and Kerry Washington.

Today, Nakia is actively pursuing his lifelong aspirations as an activist and entrepreneur in the community that fostered his career. He is the founder of Aikan Entertainment Solutions and Aikan Acting Academy. Aikan Entertainment Solutions is dedicated to empowering, encouraging, and challenging the entrepreneurial spirits of the youth. Aikan Acting Academy provides training and preparation for students of all ages, from five years old to adults, in the art of acting and other creative outlets.
