Born on October 27th, 1974, in Inverness, a city situated in the breathtaking Highlands of Scotland, Mingus Johnston, a talented actor, emerged as the middle child among three brothers, to Lord Russell and Lady Johnston, a former politician. His childhood was marked by a rebellious streak, as he constantly found himself in trouble and getting into mischief.
At the tender age of 18, Mingus decided to venture out into the world, eager to explore its wonders. He spent time living in England, Australia, and Sweden before ultimately settling in Rome, Italy, where he discovered his passion for acting. He joined an amateur acting society, which aimed to help Italians learn English through acting. This marked the beginning of his journey as an actor.
During his time in Rome, Mingus had the opportunity to perform in a production of West Side Story, taking on the role of one of the Jets. He also ran the Rome marathon while wearing a kilt, showcasing his adventurous spirit. Furthermore, he developed fluency in the Italian language, which would later serve him well in his acting career.
After returning to the UK, Mingus enrolled in a drama program to hone his craft. His big break came with Jack The Giant Slayer (2013),a film produced by Singer, which led to subsequent roles in Uwantme2killhim? (2013),The List (2013),Mission Impossible 5 Rogue Nation (2015),and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017).
