From a tender age, Benoist was drawn to the world of dance, commencing classes at the mere age of three. Her aunt's involvement in a church play further nurtured her interest, and by the time she was four years old, she was already taking part in theatrical productions. As a teenager, Benoist honed her skills by performing anonymously at Disneyland for three consecutive summers, courtesy of the Academy of Theatre Arts, a prestigious musical theatre school located in Littleton, Colorado.
