Mehmet Özgür embarked on a remarkable artistic journey, commencing with his attendance at a theater event in 1988 as part of a language course in Antalya. The subsequent year, he dedicated himself to intense theater studies at the Antalya Community Center, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

In 1993, Özgür joined the esteemed Antalya State Theater, marking a significant milestone in his career. He made his television debut in 2004, taking on a role in a TV series that would serve as a precursor to his future success.

Özgür's breakthrough role came in 2008, when he portrayed Necip Yilmaz in the popular TV series Kollama, which was broadcast until 2011. This role catapulted him to fame, and he went on to gain widespread recognition for his portrayal of Takoz Irfan in the 2012 TV series Suskunlar.

Throughout his illustrious career, Özgür has appeared in numerous notable TV series, including Magnificent Century, Calikusu, and Filinta. In addition to his acting pursuits, he has also ventured into direction, helming several theater plays.
