Person Biography:
Mckee, the daughter of an Air Force pilot, grew up all over the world, with her acting experience beginning in the third grade in Wiesbaden, Germany, where she played Gretel in Hansel and Gretel. This experience changed her life.
She went on to star in the popular television show Escala en Hi-Fi in Madrid, Spain, and co-produced and co-hosted a Public Affairs program on the PBS affiliate in Agana, Guam, which won the Press Club's best show award.
Mckee has continued to travel as an adult, visiting or living in over twenty countries and forty-six cities, and has performed in theater, television, and film over three decades. She has been trained by some of the great teacher/mentors of our time, including Bobby Lewis, Bill Esper, Uta Hagen, Geraldine Page, Lee Strasberg, Martin Landau, and Mark Rydell.
One of her favorite experiences was being cast in the remake of George Romero's cult classic Night of the Living Dead, where she worked with Tom Savini and the cast and crew.
Mckee has also had a great love of theater, appearing in many productions, including "Joe Egg", "Vieux Carre", and "Father's Day". She has won several awards for her performances, including the Drama-Logue Award for Outstanding Performance and the Ann Kelly Award.
In addition to her acting career, Mckee has a strong educational background, holding two Master of Arts degrees in Psychology and English. She has used her education and training to explore other interesting experiences on the world stage.
Mckee has worked as a Facilitator/Case Worker at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, training officers to effectively manage mentally ill patients/inmates. She has also worked with hundreds of incarcerated men and women, using psychodrama, music, dance, and discussion to develop healthy life skills and reduce anxiety and stress.
Mckee has just completed a documentary, "Grace and Garland: An American Story", which she filmed, produced, and edited, and is currently living in Los Angeles, California.
