Ash McCaul is a talented individual who has had an impressive career in the film industry. Notably, four of his films have premiered at the renowned Cannes Film Festival, with two of them being part of the Official Selection. His most recent project, "Port Authority", is the feature debut of writer-director Danielle Lessovitiz and was produced by Martin Scorsese's Sikelia Productions and RT Features, the same production company behind the critically acclaimed film "Call Me By Your Name".
McCaul's journey in the film industry began with his role in Andrea Arnold's "American Honey", which was released by A24 and Film4. He then went on to appear in Fox Searchlight's "Patti Cake$", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Directors' Fortnight. In 2018, McCaul took on the lead role in "We The Coyotes", which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the ACID program.
In addition to his work in film, McCaul has also appeared in "Sollers Point", where he played the lead role. The film received critical acclaim, including being named the New York Times' "Critic's Pick", and premiered in competition at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
Born and raised in Baltimore, McCaul is proud of his roots. The son of a healthcare professional and a high school football coach, he grew up with aspirations of becoming a professional athlete, specifically a running back. However, after suffering an injury on the field as a teenager, he shifted his focus to acting and has since gone on to achieve great success in the film industry.
