Matt is widely recognized as the indie darling who played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Western genre in Canadian cinema with his micro-budget Spaghetti Western, Six Reasons Why, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and caused a stir.
Upon its release, Six Reasons Why was met with immense success, securing a series of Entertainment Tonight exclusives and sparking an international bidding war. The film ultimately found distribution in over a dozen countries, with notable distributors such as ThinkFilm, eOne Entertainment, and Image releasing it worldwide.
Matt's foray into the Science Fiction genre has been met with widespread acclaim, both from industry professionals and audiences alike. His 2012 short film, D.N.E.: Do Not Erase, won the Best Science Fiction Award at the esteemed DragonCon convention, subsequently leading to the SyFy Network greenlighting his Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi feature, Mutant World.
