Biography

Mary Nell played a pivotal role as the driving force and director of DramaTech, the esteemed drama society at Georgia Tech, during the early 1960s. Her extensive connections within the theatrical community proved to be a valuable asset, as they led to a unique opportunity for the members of DramaTech to serve as esteemed escorts for a host of celebrities at the re-release of the iconic film "Gone with the Wind" at Lowe's Theater in Atlanta in the year 1961. The event was a special one, as it featured the sole surviving star of the original film, the renowned Olivia de Havilland, who graciously made an appearance.
