Noted composer, conductor, and author, with a rich educational background at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),went on to excel as a staff pianist for KFWB in Hollywood for a span of four remarkable years. Subsequently, he ventured into the world of vaudeville, where he spent an additional year honing his craft.
After joining the esteemed Hal Roach Studios, he made a significant impact by taking over its music department, a position he held with distinction for an impressive decade. Furthermore, in 1952, he became a proud member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
One of his most celebrated and enduring compositions is the iconic Laurel and Hardy theme, "Dance of The Cuckoos," which, interestingly, he always spelled as "Ku-Ku".
