Notable actor born in Loma Linda, California, with roots tracing back to the pioneering Holcomb family, who made their mark in San Bernardino County as gold miners and citrus growers. Graduating from Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California, the actor's path to stardom began when casting director Eddie Foy III brought him to Screen Gems and Columbia Pictures.

Initially, Mark worked as a mailboy on the Gower Street lot, where he had the privilege of serving as a messenger to Hollywood legends such as William Wyler, William Castle, Richard Brooks, Ross Hunter, and many others. His dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed, as he was soon discovered by the iconic Producer Jack L. Warner.

Warner and director Peter H. Hunt cast Mark in the film adaptation of Broadway's '1776', which marked the last movie to be shot on Columbia's historic back lot and Jack Warner's final film in Hollywood. The actor's impressive filmography includes 'Thunderbolt and Lightfoot', 'Hooper', 'Jokes Your Folks Never Told You', and 'Missouri Breaks'.

In addition to his film work, Mark had a successful television career, appearing in numerous TV series such as 'The Young and the Restless', 'The Waltons', 'Medical Center', 'Shazam!', 'One Day at a Time', and 'Cheers'. He was also featured in several TV movies, including 'Sandburg's Lincoln', 'Helter Skelter', and 'Friendly Fire'.

One of his most notable roles was as Schroeder in the 1973 Hallmark Hall of Fame version of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", which aired on NBC. Under contract to Universal, Mark appeared as Darryl in the 1979 television series, 'The Curse of Dracula'.
