Person Biography:
Founder of Wildcat Entertainment, Gordon has produced 16 feature films. He is a pioneer in the digital revolution, having produced the first video feature to use 'Filmlook' technology, "Sunset After Dark" (1994),and one of the first DV features, "Blazing Force" (1996).
Gordon's journey in the film industry began with a fellowship to the American Film Institute, where he studied cinematography for two years and was awarded the Sherill C. Corwin / Tommy Gross Scholarship, the highest award given to a cinematography fellow. He also received an internship with renowned cinematographer, Vilmos Zsigmond, working on "Bonfire of the Vanities".
Gordon's cinematography work includes the feature film "Hit Me", which was an official selection at the Toronto Film Festival, and "Fall Time", a period piece/road movie starring Mickey Rourke, Stephen Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, and David Arquette. "Fall Time" received excellent notices for its darkly stylistic re-creation of 50's Americana and won the "Best Cinematography" award at the Atlanta Film Festival.
Gordon has also worked extensively in commercials, producing spots for Miller Lite, Allure by Chanel, Marika Sportswear, and Roadrunner Online Service, among others. He has a diverse background in photography, having worked as a still photographer for 10 years and having clients such as AT&T, Coca Cola, Disney Home Video, Honda Motors, and Warner Brothers.
Gordon's recent work includes moving to Hi Def and doing everything in-house, including HD editing, 5.1 surround sound, visual FX, and a proprietary 'filmlook' process they call 'Cinedef'. He continues to push the boundaries of filmmaking and is recognized for his innovative approach to the industry.
