Mark, a Singapore-born individual, spent his formative years in Singapore before transitioning to a career in the creative industry. Prior to venturing into directing and producing, he held the position of motion graphics designer at the renowned British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Channel 4 in London.
As a director and producer, Mark has been involved in the creation of a diverse array of television and video content, with a focus on narrative documentaries. His most notable work includes a trilogy of British motor-racing biographies, which paid tribute to the lives and careers of iconic figures such as Jackie Stewart, Graham Hill, and Jim Clark. This trilogy garnered significant recognition, including a nomination for the Royal Television Society (RTS) and a prestigious FOCAL award.
Mark's achievements in the industry are not limited to his work on the British motor-racing biographies. His critically acclaimed short documentary, Talk to Me, earned him a Grierson Award, a testament to his exceptional storytelling abilities. His feature-length documentary, The Last Man on the Moon, received a theatrical release in both the United States and the United Kingdom, cementing his status as a prominent figure in the documentary filmmaking world.
More recently, Mark completed his feature documentary, Running for the Revolution, during the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Mark remained dedicated to his craft, ultimately producing a work of exceptional quality.
