Mariya Vinogradova, a renowned actress, was conferred the esteemed title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR on May 5th, 1988. Her illustrious journey in the world of cinema began with her graduation from the acting department of the prestigious All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in 1943, under the guidance of the esteemed G.L. Roshal.
As early as 1940, Vinogradova started her professional career at the studio "Soyuzdetfilm", where she honed her craft and established herself as a talented actress. Her subsequent association with the Theater Studio from 1945 to 1991 further solidified her position in the Russian film industry.
In 1949, Vinogradova joined the troupe of the Drama Theater of Soviet troops in Germany, where she showcased her versatility as an actress. She played a wide range of characters, from housekeepers and cleaners to castellans, supervisors, village aunts, and urban old women, earning her the reputation of a master of episodic roles.
Throughout her illustrious career, Vinogradova was one of the most prolific actresses in Russian cinema, appearing in numerous films and earning the distinction of being one of the most filmed actresses in Russian cinematic history.
In addition to her work in live-action films, Vinogradova also lent her voice to over three hundred animation films, participated in the dubbing of foreign films, and provided the voice for international celebrities such as Audrey Hepburn, Eva Ruttkai, Gina Lollobrigida, and Sofiko Chiaureli.
Mariya Vinogradova passed away on July 2nd, 1995, in Moscow, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable performances. She was laid to rest at the Khovansky Cemetery, in the Northern Territory, site No. 214, alongside her husband, actor Sergei Golovanov, who had predeceased her in 1990.
