Marcus directed his inaugural feature film, "The Break-in", in 2014, which garnered numerous accolades globally and had its commercial theatrical premiere in February 2016. Subsequently, he secured high-profile commercial gigs for esteemed companies such as IKEA, Saint Gobain, NA-KD, and numerous others. The success of "The Break-in" at film festivals enabled Marcus to secure financing for his follow-up feature, "Faunutland and the Lost Magic".
During the financing process of "Faunutland and the Lost Magic", Marcus directed the viral sensation "Sweden's Best Swede", which premiered worldwide on YouTube on February 2nd, 2020. The film was later renamed "Emily and the Magical Journey" prior to its release and was sold to 130 countries worldwide, including the US, Canada, Germany, and Russia.
At present, Marcus is in the latter stages of post-production for his feature film "Scapegoat" and has recently completed principal photography for his latest film, "Frakturer". Both films are slated to premiere in cinemas in 2024.
