Marcia was born on November 26, 1943, and embarked on a journey to hone her craft as an actress by enrolling at London's prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she earned her degree in 1963. Following her graduation, she began her professional career by acting in repertory productions throughout the country, initially serving as an assistant stage manager in a production of "David Copperfield" in Salisbury.
